Student Arrival and Departure Procedures
Safety First! Pickup and Dropoff AreasTo ensure the safety of Central Avenue students, all children must be picked up or dropped off at one of the three-parent pick-up and drop-off locations:
1) Outside the main office lobby
*Parents of Kindergarteners and First graders line up in hallway
2) Outside Cafeteria to the south
3) Outside the music portable
Areas will be supervised by staff and any students who have not been picked up by 4:10pm will be taken to the lobby. Please use the crosswalk for safety! Thank you!
End of Day Student Changes Just a reminder to please call the school before 3:30pm when your child’s end of day schedule changes. This allows us time to notify your child’s teacher and your child of the change for a smooth end of day transition. Please call our office at 253-298-3200 to report end of day changes.
Communication is Key
Our goal is for students to arrive and depart in a safe and orderly manner. Please notify the office by 2:50 if there is a change to how your student will go home that day.
